Judge Napoloitano sitting in for Glenn…
FIRST QUESTIONING REP. CLYBURN ON HEALTH CARE:
Judge: Where in the Constitution is the federal Gov charged with maintaining people’s health?
Clyburn: Well, it’s not in the Constitution. There is nothing in the Constitution that says the federal government has got anything to do with most of the stuff we do. (Brian & the Judge Radio show Sept 8, 2009)
The Judge submits the same question to Republican Congressman John Shadegg of
Shadegg: “Most Congressman don’t read the Constitution, don’t think about it closely. What they’re mainly concerned about is getting themselves re-elected.”
Napolitano declares the Republican response is also unConstitutional.
Shadegg replies:
“You can take a purest position. My friend Ron Paul takes a purest position on many of these issues and votes no on everything!
I could wish we’d get back to the Constitution and introduce a Bill called the Enumerated Powers Act that would require we recite that section of the Constitution that requires us to act, BUT in the absence of that I think that what the minority party feels is that they feel that they have to be in the ball game.
You’re right, the Constitutions purest position is in fact…would make our bill WRONG…how do you stay in the game with
